I love Koko Company
I am so in love with Koko Company. They have some awesome bedding and pillows.

Here's one I'm thinking about getting:

Koko Company Pillow

I want to put them all over my bed while I'm snuggled up with this:

Don't get your panties in a wad. It's fake. And fantastic.

I would love to just redo my entire bedroom and living room. New pillows, bedding, and artwork. One thing at a time, though, can't do it all at once!

Have a Cheap Halloween

Halloween is on the way so check out this article about having a cheap Halloween instead of breaking the bank!

Writer's Block: Redo
If there was something you could change about your past, what would it be?

Wow. Mostly, I think I would change the fact that I ever started smoking because it is so hard to stay quit. Other things, no matter how bad, I wouldn't change because they led me to the person I am now. And overall I think I'm pretty great! :)

I'm sick today and still needing to get some work done. I have Stanley Steemers currently cleaning my living room carpet which will be very nice when its done! Unfortunately, the sectional we have ordered isn't in yet so we're pretty much stuck in Grandad's old chair and my office chair. There is no where to stretch out except for the floor or the bed!

The area rug website is getting worked on, we can actually see the new site in the editor which is awesome. He said it would be done by the first. Hmmm, I'm thinking if pigs fly.

Writer's Block: Let the sun shine in
Do you believe in global warming? Do you think the sustainability concept is undervalued, valid, or taken too far?

I do believe in global warming but I think that it and sustainability are not two ideas that can only be taken together. Whether you believe in global warming or not has nothing to do with taking care of the our home, the Earth. Personally, I think that the sustainability concept hasn't been taken far enough, and by that I mean the self sustainability of our nation.

It really makes me wonder how we can be in these wars over oil, and let's be real, that is what they are about, and we spend millions of dollars on them when we could take that money and put it into solar, wind, and water. Whether you believe in global warming or not, wouldn't we all rather take care of ourselves than have to rely on someone else? We are Americans right?

Summer is nearing an end

Wow! What a summer this has been! The hubby and I had our first vacation in several years, which was great in the fact that I learned a great deal about myself, and I spent a much longer time away from the area rug site than I had intended. Still spending a bit of time away from it as the brand new site we have being built is not yet finished. I needed a break, sorely need a break, but I'm done with the break and am now ready to get back to work and start making some money!

Hopefully, the new area rug website will be done this week and I can get started next week. It is going to be even more exciting because we have a bunch of new home accessory products, more than just rugs!

Another Day, Another Dollar - For Real
Some days it does seem that way and some days it actually is that way. When you work for yoursel from home, nothing is guaranteed. You make work your butt off and not see a nickel while other times you may spend the day with your family and come back home to hundreds of dollars.

Not this week though. I spent the weekend building a patio and fire pit with the hubby. (It turned out very well, thank you) I didn't make much while I was gone. Well, I guess if I look at articles that were accepted I may have made about $24. Ok, I don't feel so bad once I think about it.
Hoping to get a website mock-up from the graphics guy this week for the area rug site remodel. My mom and I are so excited to see what the new site will look like! I cannot wait to sell from a site that is modern and up-to-date, not to mention just plain working!

Had several rewrites for articles this week but I see what I was doing wrong. After a day of wallowing in self-pity of course, wondering how anyone could think I wasn't perfect.

Hoping to get done with work early again this week as I'm really enjoying it! I would like to work on some other things this week, like my antique bench but I also need to work on some ChaCha to make some money for the hubby's birthday in June. Seems he wants an Ipod Touch and I'm thinking I could get him an I-tunes gift card or this axe he wants. Yes, you heard me right, an axe. For zombies.

Chew on that for awhile.

Writer's Block: Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
Do you give your vehicles names? If so, what are they?

Umm, no?

Three Day Weekend!

I have spent all day today working as hard as I can to get as much work done so that I can take the next three days. I've been writing for Break Studios and am really enjoying it, I will enjoy it even more when I get my first paycheck from them! I am working hard on this site as I am trying to pay off as much debt as we can in the next few months.  We racked up a bit in the last month doing some projects around the house so we have to get it back under control. I don't like owing anyone anything!

We have also decided to add some home accents to the area rug site and have been researching new products such as bedding, throws, or candles to add to the site. We are still waiting to begin the area rug website remodel and are getting more and more excited!

I am very excited to take the next three days off as it is becoming somewhat easier to have a life. I hope to work on this antique bench I've been wanting to work on for years, I found a site, Cushion Source, where I can have them make the cushions for my bench. I can handle the sanding and staining but I want the cushions to look good!

Its supposed to rain a great deal this weekend too but I hope we don't get much so the hubby and I can work outside and get some plants moved from an area we will be rocking soon.

Writer's Block: App Appreciation
How many apps do you have on your mobile phone? Which apps do you use the most?

I have no apps on my phone because it doesn't do fancy stuff like that. The End.

Working out and working on work and working on a life

I'm always working. Working has taken over my life but I am trying to change that. I am trying to stick to a work schedule so that I have time to do other things, like talk to my husband, cuddle with my dogs, sit and stare.

I run a few websites and, if you run your own business, you know how easy it is to get sucked into working all the time, tweaking this, adding that, etc. We are currently at the very beginning of creating a new website for Area Rugs by McCall's. Today I focused on modern area rugs by commenting on some blogs and workin' the backlinks!

I also run The Frugal Home, a website that means a lot to me because I try to live as frugal a life as possible and I also talk about working from home, one of my biggest passions!

And don't think these are all I do! I also write web content and do a little photography that people can download for free, and I ChaCha a bit on the side.

These are just my jobs though and you can just imagine how I could work forever and never take any time for myself or my family. I have been slowly changing this over the last few months. I have begun a running program again, called the Couch to 5K program. I've been doing it for a month now and can't wait to get some of this weight off I've gained while sitting and staring at this computer for almost three years.

I am also making time for my husband and improving our relationship. Good stuff all the way around!
